Northside Community Forum Appoints New Board Chair

Northside Community Forum is thrilled to advise that it has appointed Gordon Wing-Lun as Chairperson, following an extensive recruitment process. This appointment follows the recent stepping down of Janet Grant who led Northside through a period of great change by providing sound strategic advice and stewardship. Northside Community Forum would like to send its heartfelt gratitude to Janet for her leadership and continued commitment to Northside as she remains a director on the Board.

Danielle Ballantine, Chief Executive Officer says she is looking forward to closely working with Gordon in fulfilling the Vision of Northside.

Gordon Wing-Lun is an experienced senior executive, having had head of business roles at a number of international banks in Australia and overseas. Gordon is an engineer by trade with an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM). Gordon has worked with and within a number of NSW government entities at senior levels, including General Manager - Corporate Finance. More recently, Gordon has undertaken a number of consulting roles most notably Bid Consultant for a new hospital to be funded via a PPP. Gordon is an Associate at the University of Technology Sydney, where he is an occasional lecturer in finance.Since 2011 Gordon has been an active participant and volunteer in the not for profit sector, including working on the delivery of a service teaching conversational English. Gordon has also been an active board member of four different NGOs, in the aged care and mental health sectors.

Gordon has said,“I am pleased to be following Janet as Chair and to have the experience and capabilities of our CEO, Danielle for the future. I will be working with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Board, including Janet, which will make our journey together valuable for Northside.”
